Breasts of Chicken Vicksburg

Shake 6 chicken breasts in a plastic bag, one at a time in:

1/4 cup flour
2 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. paprika

Melt one stick butter.
Lightly brown chicken then simmer covered 30 min.
Remove chicken.

Blend, stirring constantly:

1/4 cup water
2 tsp. cornstarch
1/4 cup half and half

Add and cook until smooth and thick:

1 1/4 cups half and half
1/4 cup sherry

Add:

1 cup grated cheese to heated sauce until melted
1 cup sliced sauteed mushrooms
