ESSENE THOU COMMENTARY:
This LAST of THE FOUR GREATS of THOU DEI JINN is that portion of the Self
called "EGO." Fittingly, it is most often translated as 'A Young Fool!,'
for such is the Ego, until harnessed by Super-Ego into the service of the
Libido or Soul. It, too, has a Totemic Symbol; which is a YOUTH, full of
questions and impatience! And, like a Youth, Ego is "temporary;" for it
will eventually grow older and mature, and cease to be a young fool at all.
The defining Trait of youth is it's MANIC-LEVEL INTENSITY OF DESIRE.. and
thus this Hexagram's name, 'Manic.'
Received as an Oracular Response in divination, this hexagram explains that
the answer to your question is EGO, AND HOW TO HARNESS IT INTO THE SERVICE
OF LIBIDO.. through communion with Super-Ego, it's Father and great Teacher.
