Banana Cream Pie

Custard

In a saucepan, preferable a double boler, blend:

2/3 cup sugar
1/4 cup cornstarch
1/2 stp. salt

Stir in:

3 cups milk
4 beaten egg yolks

Stir constantly unil thick and boils.
Remove from heat.
Blend in 1 T. plus 1 tsp. vanilla
Pl;ace in bowl and cover with plastic wrap over top and chill for 2 hrs. or more.

Fold in one large banana sliced, and place in prebaked 9 in. pie crust.
Top with whipped cream.
