Nashoba Sunrise

I sit within a lakeside grove of rowan trees
Splendorous in its luxuriant, majestic bloom
Sunrise's first rays filter through the forest canopy
Fresh within the morning's mist
Low lying fog evaporates within eyesight
Fragile flora slowly open their dew-kissed petals
Vivid timelapsed colors and sounds quickly awaken
Smaller woodland animals scurry from nocturnal slumber
The sky then burns with a brighter hue of blue
Apollo's golden chariot blazes forth
Lingering fingers of night fully dispelled
Truly a fantastic thing to behold.
